I met a man yesterday from my native land of South Shields. I was at work and he was asking me for directions, as I was walking his way anyway we walked together. From accent recognition we found we were both from the same town, he'd been in Oxford since 1948. I asked him how he hadn't lost his accent, he told me because he didn't want to.
